Open Gyms: Mondays 7:30-9:30 pm at Lake George High School Gymnasium 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, and 3/27
Tournament: April 8, 2023
Overview of Tournament:
April 8, 2023 9:00 am Tip-Off.
On Friday, April 7, 2023, from 8-10pm, there will be an open gym for tournament players.
T-shirt pick up will be available Friday night during the open gym as well as Saturday during the tournament.
Game Logistics:
A 5-10 minute warm-up period will precede each game.
Each game will be played with two 15 minute halves, running time.
During the last minute of both halves, the clock will be stopped on all dead balls. If there is a 20 point differential, the clock will not stop.
A 30 second shot clock will be used for all games.
There will be a 5 minute break between the halves.
A speaking captain shall be designated for each team.
Each team will be allowed 2 full (1 minute in length each) timeouts in regulation play.
Any unused timeouts may be carried over into overtime.
Overtime:
If the game is tied at the end of regulation, a 3 minute overtime will be played.
Each team will be awarded an additional 30 second timeout for each overtime.
The clock will be stopped after each made basket during overtime.
Fouls/Free Throws:
The free throw shooter must remain behind the line until the ball contacts the rim or backboard.
Players may enter the lane as soon as the shooter releases the ball.
Technical fouls will result in two foul shots and possession of the ball.
The clock will be stopped during all free throws.
On non shooting fouls, the team who was fouled will regain possession out of bounds.
Tournament Disqualification Results From:
2 technical fouls per tournament.
1 flagrant or excessive foul per tournament.
If a player is disqualified, they may not return for the duration of the tournament.
The Referees have final say over the rules and have the ability to make decisions on any rule that is not covered in this document.
With the exception of the rules listed above, all other game play will follow NCAA guidelines linked below.

Registration Information
Welcome to the 2023 Lake George Alumni Association Basketball Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023. We thank the Lake George Central School District for partnering with us to bring you the tournament. Any former Lake George student, relatives of current or former students, and any current or former Lake George faculty or staff, are welcome to play. All players are required to register. Registration will remain open until March 20, 2023.
Registration is a simple process. You must input your name, the name of your team captain, and your email. Then you will select your gender and shirt size. Once the form is complete, click the “SEND” button at the bottom of the page and you will be registered. If you click the “SEND” button without completing all the fields, you will not be registered. Email your questions to LGAlumniBasketball@gmail.com.
Individuals interested in playing but who do not have a team can email LGAlumniBasketball@gmail.com and Hahnah Saroff will work to get you added to a team.
We welcome tournament sponsors. Sponsors donating $100 or more will be featured on the back of the game shirts and included in printed material. Interested sponsors should email us at info@lgalumni.com.
