Our purpose is to help Lake George Alumni stay connected and to celebrate our connections with each other, our school and our community. We will get together at social events, assist with class reunions, award student scholarships, and sponsor innovative projects that assist students and improve our schools.

Annual Alumni Volleyball Tournament – October 19, 2025

Join Lake George Alumni at our fun annual Volleyball Tournament the LG Jr.-Sr High School Gym. Click here for information and registration.

For each $20.00 donated to the LG Alumni Association, you will receive one generously sized dinner which includes Tony’s delicious chicken parmesan, pasta, bread, and side salad. To order, simply click on the “ORDER HERE” link below or use the QR code below, which will take you to our PayPal account in a new tab. When on the PayPal page, choose a $20 donation for one dinner, $40 donation for two dinners, $60 donation for three dinners, or type in another multiple of $20 for any larger number of dinners. Payment can be made by credit card or PayPal account. You can also use the “Write a note (Optional)” box on the PayPal order page to type in the specific time between 4:00 and 6:00 pm that you want to pick up your order or eat inside or on the deck.  PayPal will send you an email confirmation of your payment, and that is your proof of order. If you are picking-up, pull up to the curb out front and we will bring out your dinner(s) on Thursday, May 8, 2025 between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Or you can dine-in or on the deck!

Thank you to everyone who came out for another exciting Alumni Basketball Tournament on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Jr-Sr High School Gym. Extra thanks to all our volunteers, including Hahnah Fetterman for managing the tournament and serving as referee, Tony Chiaravalle for serving as referee, Lexi Parker for running the clock, Keith Putnam for keeping the statistics, and Gail Crandall and Glen Bruening for assisting players and spectators all day.

And thank you to all our players and spectators. Joel Wincowski’s team (Grey Team) including Ian Devlin, Colby Cracco, Chris France, Duncan Mularz, Thomas Devlin, Connor McCoy, Chris Speck, Noah Prime and Andrew McGowan finished first. Luke Pelcher’s team (Blue Team) including Alex Leonelli, Colin Leonelli, Joseph Salmon, Tyler Bowen, Shane Clarke, Cole Clarke, Juan Garcia and Nick Hoffis finished second.

Lake George Alumni from numerous classes spanning 1964 to 2014 reunited again for another fabulous fall reception on Friday, September 13 at Mezzaluna restaurant. What a night! We had clear skies overlooking Lake George and Shepard Park in the Village. The food and drinks were fantastic as always. Thank you to Tony, Robin and Antonio Chiaravalle and their wonderful staff for another memorable event.

Honored Alumni – Vinnie Crocitto, Jr., ’79

Thank you to the many alumni, friends and family who joined us to celebrate Vinnie Crocitto, Jr. as he received the 2024 Honored Alumni Award on April 12, 2024 at the Lake George Holiday Inn. Vinnie’s award will be displayed in the main hallway at the Jr-Sr High School across from the class portraits. Special thanks to Brian Reichenbach for his remarks, to Vinnie’s sons Vinnie and Nick for their presentation, and to all our friends at the Holiday Inn for their hospitality. LGAA Honors Barbara (Parsons) Langworthy

Barbara (Parsons) Langworthy, a 1941 graduate of Lake George High School, wrote the school’s Alma Mater as a sophomore in 1939. This song has been a part of various school events for 84 years. To honor her legacy, the Lake George Alumni Association, on the eve of her 100th birthday, has passed a resolution recognizing her significant contribution to the school community. A copy of the resolution, a recent photo of Barbara, and the lyrics to the Alma Mater are included in the announcement. Who will be the new champs? Join Alumni, family, faculty and staff on Saturday, December 30, 2023 for the Alumni Association Basketball Tournament in the Jr-Sr High School gym. Annual Alumni Fall Reception

Thank you to all Alumni and friends who stopped by for the 2023 Lake George Alumni Association Fall Reception on Friday, September 22, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm at Blue Thirty-Two in Lake George. This was a great chance to catch up with other alumni and enjoy some great food. Our receptions are open to all graduates, former students, and past and present teachers, staff and adminnistrators. Mezzaluna Chicken Parmesan Dinner Fundraiser – SOLD OUT – Thank You!

Pick-Up Thursday, May 4, 2023, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

The Lake George Alumni Association is again teaming up with Tony and Robin Chiaravalle at Mezzaluna Restaurant for a chicken parmesan dinner fundraiser. Net proceeds will support LG Alumni, students and our schools. Pre-order below and simply pull up to the curb in front of the restaurant at 157 Canada Street, Lake George, and LG Alumni will bring out your dinners “to go!”

Our last chicken parm dinner fundraiser allowed us to distribute $750 to the LG VEX Robotics team to assist them in their trip to Dallas, Texas to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship after qualifying during the Northern New York State Championship in Syracuse. We also distributed $500 to support the Post-Prom party for the LG Junior Class – Class of 2024.

Jr-Sr High School Sign Restoration Project is Complete!

Spearheaded by the Class of 1970, with assistance from the Class of 1980, the Alumni Association and others, Lake George Alumni restored the iconic Jr-Sr High School sign at the front of the building on Canada Street. The sign is often featured in photographs of the school, and in news and sports articles in local and regional papers. Thank you to all the Alumni and friends who donated to the restoration project. Special thanks to Robert Wilcox ’70, Bob Mason ’70, Sally Hawley ’80, and Jr-Sr High School Principal Fran Cocozza. The work was completed in time for graduation by Ian Gifford of Gifford’s Masonry

LAKE GEORGE ALUMNI SURVEY

Your Lake George Alumni Association truly appreciates your time and  input provided through our survey.

Your participation has assisted with planning strategically for the coming years.  Thank you.

The feedback received was clear and supportive and LGAA would like to share a few highlights.

  • 98% endorse the continuation of LGAA hosting social events and assisting  with class reunions.  We are now planning an Alumni reception for the evening of September 17, 2021 – save the date!  Details to come.
  • There is significant interest from Alum to participate in some fashion with student mentoring and career exploration.  LGAA is working with the High School on next steps – stay tuned.
  • LGAA is grateful for the Alum who indicated they would be interested in taking a role with our association.  We will be reaching out to those interested in the coming weeks.
  • 96% support the continuation of fund raising for student scholarships. Last  year LGAA awarded two $2000 scholarships to graduating seniors from the Class of 2020

LGAA Board of Directors has set a goal of awarding two $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors from the Class of 2021.  We are actively working to raise these funds.  Please help us to reach this goal by contributing what you can.  Visit our website at https://lgalumni.com/.
