Sally Hawley ’80, Vice President; President Emeritus

I was fortunate to grow up in Lake George, daughter to Ruth and Charles Hawley, sister to Chris and Nancy Hawley.  As a student at LGCS I enjoyed the academics and the community of the school.  Following graduation (1980) I attended St. Lawrence University for a year and a half and then transferred to Siena College to earn my bachelor’s degree in psychology.  I immediately moved to Boston for a few years (fun) and then returned to the area (Saratoga) and slowly made my way back to Lake George where I have been living for the last 30 years.

I have two adult children and live with my husband Louis and our cat Nira.  I work for Community, Work & Independence, Inc. in Glens Falls as the Division Director for Community & Employment Services. I am grateful that I have found important work that makes a difference in people’s lives.

I was drawn into the LG Alumni Association by a classmate in late 2018 and have come to understand how important maintaining connections created during the pivotal childhood and adolescent years can be.  Equally important is supporting the LG School District and the current student body.  After my daughter graduated from LGHS I didn’t have a connection to the District any longer and my association with LGAA has reconnected me in a different way which has provided me with a more global perspective about the truly first class  academic and social/community experience provided to students today at LGCS.

Sally also previously served as the Alumni Associations president and was bestowed the title President Emeritus.
